MAYSVILLE — Trella Breeze Saunders, 95, of Maysville, passed away Monday May 7, 2018, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
Mrs. Saunders was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Rectorville to the late Omer and Effie Hayslip Breeze.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Saunders; and her sister, Margie Dow Breeze.
She had the honor of playing piano for her own high school graduation. She was pianist for the Daughters of America Lodge and was a cook at Ruggles Campground for 3 years. She also cooked at Bentleyville, Pa. Church Camp for 15 years. She enjoyed playing piano for Olivet Methodist Church and Grace Baptist Church services.
During World War II, Mrs Saunders enlisted in the Navy to serve her country.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Baird Ellsworth; granddaughter, Nicole Nelson; grandsons, Troy and Derek Ellsworth; great-grandsons, Dustyn, Zach and Cody; and great-granddaughter, Bella of Utah; Bill and Brenda Arnold of Williamsburg, Ohio, Cindy and Wayne Snyder of Lafayette, Ind., Evelyn Ruth Purdin of Georgetown, Ohio and first cousins Dorothy Ann, Gladys, Gary, Johnny, Jeff and Troy Breeze; and her “adopted daughter” Garnetta from Maysville Nursing and Rehab.
Services for Trella Saunders will be held at 2 p.m., Monday May 14, 2018, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Brother Bill Arnold officiating.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
