MOUNT OLIVET — Alberta “Bertie” Brumagen Earlywine, age 90, of Mount Olivet, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at her residence.

Born in Robertson County on Nov. 15, 1927, to the late William and Mary Brumagen.

She was a farmer, avid quilter, cook and member of the First Christian Church in Mount Olivet.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Clark Gifford, Mary Ruth Evans, Cloe Ellis and Rose Mary Earlywine; and three brothers, Jack Brumagen, Chambers Brumagen and Woodrow Brumagen.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Chester “Chick” Earlywine; an adopted daughter, Martha Jane Poe; two grandchildren, Josh (Maggie) Poe and Mackenzy (Brian) Poe; five great-grandchildren, Isaac, Charli, Sofie, Hunter and Jewell; a special nephew, Perry Gifford; and several other nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Tom Mitchell.

Burial will be in the Mount Olivet cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
