MAYSVILLE — Roy Edward Johnson, 80, of Manchester, Ohio, formerly of Maysville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 27, 2018.
He was born on March 23, 1938, in Mason County, to the late Louise Fields.
Roy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an avid UK Wildcat fan, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching old westerns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wanda Gallagher Johnson. He is also survived by two daughters, Teresa (Bernard) Palmer and Joyce Johnson; and two step-children, Kandeana (Anthony) Turner and Jerry Wayne (Raina) Blankenship. Mr. Johnson is also survived by five grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Gregory Moore, Casey (Jessica) Moore, Brooke Turner and Savannah Mains; and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Maysville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope or charity of choice.
