GERMANTOWN — Jesse Burton, 80, of Germantown, died Wednesday April 25, 2018, at Bracken County Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born in May’s Lick on Feb. 17, 1938, to the late David and Rella White Burton.

He was a farmer and Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Burton is survived by his wife, Gladys Henderson Burton, whom he married Dec. 1, 1956.

He is also survived by his son, Clinton (Sonya) Burton of Englewood, Fla.; and sisters Ruth (Frank) Curtis of Germantown, Mary (Vic) Workman of Brooksville and Gladys Lynn (Larry) Abrams of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Burton is also survived by special friends Sabas Vicente, Wayne Mastin and Marty Linville.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer Burton and Ronnie “Pete” Burton; and a sister-in-law, Kay Burton.

He was also preceded in death by his niece, Kim Applegate.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday April 28, 2018, at Palmer Funeral Home in Germatown.

Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Mt. Olivet.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday April 27, 2018, at the funeral home.
