MAYSVILLE — Samuel L. “Junior” Carpenter Jr., 49, of Maysville, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

Mr. Carpenter was an over the road truck driver with J M Bozeman Trucking Company.

He was born in Cincinnati on January 14, 1969 the son of Samuel L. Carpenter (Gloria Schmidt) of Aurora, Ind. and the late Arlene Linedecker.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Pinky Fite Carpenter; his two daughters, Samantha Silvers and Miranda Carpenter, both of Maysville; his two step-sons, Jeffrey Purcell and Joshua Purcell; seven grandchildren; one step-grandchild; his sister, Shirley Jean “Jeannie” Conie (John) of May’s Lick; his three uncles, Thomas Carpenter (Bonnie) of Maysville, Jimmy Ackley Jr. (Penny) of Cleves, Ohio, Mike Ackley (Rhonda) of Middletown, Ohio; his niece, Brittney Shepherd and his cousin, Missy Lawrence (David).

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clark and Carrie French Ackley; and his cousin, Jeanette Carpenter Mason.

Services for Sam “Junior” Carpenter will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
