The Maysville Fourth of July celebration will begin at 8 a.m. on July 4.

The Joe Donovan Memorial River 5K Run/2 Mile Walk will begin. Check-in for the race begins at 6:30 a.m. at Limestone Landing.

There will be trophies presented to the top three male and female participants overall and the top two male and female walkers, as well as to the top three male and female participants of each division for the the run, the wheelchair division and the big man participants.

Those who pre-register by June 28 at noon will receive a t-shirt. The cost is $20 per person and checks can be made payable to the Knights of Columbus.

From 5-7 p.m., there will be inflatables at Rotary Park, a bicycle decorating contest at 6:30 p.m. and the parade line-up will begin at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks will start at 10 p.m.

The Vanceburg Fourth of July celebration will take place on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6.

The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. in the Baptist Church Parking Lot with Straight Grass Band, followed by burnout registration in the post office parking lot at 5:50 p.m., inflatables for children in the J.C. Video parking lot at 6 p.m. and Craig Carrol Music at the Veteran’s Memorial Park at 6 p.m., Little Miss Vanceburg Beauty Pageant in the Baptist Church parking lot at 6 p.m. and the Burnout at 7 p.m.

Also at 7 p.m., the Miss Pre-Teen Vanceburg pageant will take place, followed by the Miss Teen Vanceburg pageant at 8 p.m., the Miss Vanceburg pageant at 9 p.m., the Straight Grass Band at 9:30 p.m. and the pageant continuation at 10 p.m., all in the Baptist Church parking lot.

On Saturday, the celebration begins at 6 a.m. with fishing tournament registration and the fishing tournament at 7 a.m. At 8 a.m., the 5K Run/Walk begins in the Trace Creek parking lot. The baby show registration also begins at 8 a.m. in the Baptist Church parking lot. At 9 a.m., the 3 on 3 basketball registration at the Merchants parking lot, along with the parade line-up in the Coroplast parking lot. The baby show begins at 9 a.m. and the 3 on 3 tournament begins at 10 a.m., as well as the celebration parade.

At noon, the Diamond Ridge band will play in the Baptist Church parking lot while Craig Carroll Music will play at the Veteran’s Memorial Park. Inflatables will open at noon, as well. At 1 p.m., the Thurman Boys band will play in the Baptist Church parking lot, followed by the karaoke contest at 2 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Park and the Cornhole tournament in the Merchants parking lot, the Thurman band at 3 p.m., the talent show registration at 3 p.m., the celebration cruise-in at 4 p.m. in the Merchants parking lot and the talent show at 4 p.m. in the Baptist Church parking lot.

The Diamond Ridge band will play at 7 p.m., the Thurman Boys at 8 p.m., the Beulah Land Boogie Band at 9 p.m., all in the Baptist Church parking lot.

The fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.

In Augusta, the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department celebration will also take place on July 5-6.

It begins on July 5 at 5 p.m. There will be fire truck rides on Saturday at 4 p.m. The celebration will include food, inflatables, live entertainment and fireworks on Saturday at 10 p.m.

The Fleming County Firecracker Celebration will be Saturday, July 6.

The celebration will start at 2 p.m. with a baby show, followed by inflatables at 3 p.m., vendors opening at 3 p.m., country music, a cruise-in and food at 5 p.m. and bingo at 7 p.m. at the Fleming County Recreation Park.

Fireworks will be set off at dusk.

The Ripley, Ohio Fourth of July celebration will be June 28-29.

The festival will open at 7 a.m., Friday, June 28 with a fishing tournament for children. Vendor booths will open on Friday morning at 10 a.m., followed by “frog-jumping” and “turtle racing” contests for the children at 11 a.m., and a decorated bike contest for the bikes best decorated in the theme of the Fourth of July celebration starting at 1 p.m. A youth Cornhole competition for youngsters 18 and under will begin at 2:30 p.m and the afternoon events conclude with a youth Hula Hoop competition which will be held from 4-5 p.m. and the famous chili cook-off competition at 6 p.m. with registration starting at 5 p.m. The first day will conclude with music provided by “Country Thunder,” a country-rock band, which will play from 7-11 p.m.

On Saturday, June 29, a second fishing tournament for children will be held beginning at 7 a.m. This will be followed by a baby show with registration at 10 a.m., a best pie and cake competition with an auction to follow at 12:30 p.m., and a pet show with registration beginning at 2 p.m. and judging at 3 p.m. Steve Free will provide folk music between 4 and 5 p.m., followed by a duck race at 6 p.m., and music by “Backup & Push.” The festival concludes with fireworks at around 10 p.m.

The Manchester, Ohio Fourth of July parade will be on July 4 at 10 a.m. next to the Old Wayside Inn. The parade line-up begins at 9 a.m.
