FLEMINGSBURG — A Wallingford man recently pleaded guilty to sexual abuse-related charges that spanned decades.

In October 2018, William Hilterbrand, 69, was indicted on seven counts of first-degree rape of a victim less than 12 years old, eight counts of first-degree sodomy of a victim less than 12 years old, six counts of incest of a victim less than 12 years old, two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of incest.

Recently, he entered a guilty plea for one count first-degree rape and one count first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12, one count first-degree rape, one count first-degree sodomy and one count incest.

According to the indictment, Hilterbrand’s first charge was allegedly committed in 1979, while he was living in Plummer’s Landing near Wallingford. The indictment lists Hilterbrand’s other charges from that year until 1992, also providing several other residences throughout the Wallingford area.

According to the plea agreement, an evaluation will be conducted by the sexual offender treatment program.

Hilterbrand is expected to return to court for sentencing on July 19.

He is currently lodged in the Mason County Detention Center under a $500,000 cash bond.
