GEORGETOWN, Ohio — A Maysville man was recently sentenced, along with several others, on drug-related charges by Brown County Court of Common Pleas Judge Scott T. Gusweiler.

John Travis Wheeler, 41, of Maysville, was indicted on Feb. 1 where he was charged with third-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs. Wheeler appeared in court on Feb. 15, andentered a guilty plea to the charge before the common pleas court.

Gusweiler sentenced Wheeler to 24 months confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections. Wheeler was also notified that post release control is optional for three years.

Jason Deaudre Lee, 34, of Williamsburg, Ohio, was indicted on April 9, 2018, and was charged with two counts of fifth-degree trafficking in heroin, two counts of fifth-degree trafficking in cocaine, and four counts of fourth-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs.

On Feb. 15, Lee entered a guilty plea to two counts of aggravated trafficking and one count of trafficking in cocaine before the common pleas court. Gusweiler sentenced Lee to 14 months in the Ohio Department of Corrections, and notified him that post release control is optional for three years. All other charges were dismissed.

Other sentencing handed down included:

— Charles Eugene Bryant Jr., 60, of Russelville, Ohio, sentenced to 24 months confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections for third-degree operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

— Michele S. Pennington, 33, ordered to have an extension of community control for one year for violation of said community control.

— Sarah Bishop, 21, of Hamersville, Ohio, sentenced to serve 90 days in the Ohio Department of Corrections for violation of community control.
