American Pickers is coming to Kentucky and looking for shooting locations.
Emily Chafetz, a representative with the show, said American Pickers will be filming in Kentucky sometime in October.
According to the show’s description, American Pickers is a documentary that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on history. The show follows Mike and Frank as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics.
The show airs on the History Channel.
Chafetz said the show is looking for people throughout Kentucky who have interested objects.
“We’re looking for leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with interesting items and lots of them.”
According to Chafetz, the show is only interested in items from private collections.
“No stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public,” she said.
Anyone who thinks they may have something interesting for the show can call 1-855-653-7878 or email at [email protected] Those interested are asked to provide their name, phone number, location and a description of the collection.
American Pickers can also be found on Facebook by visiting @GotAPick.
“If you, or someone you know, has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send your information to us,” Chafetz said.
