GEORGETOWN, Ohio — Three people were recently sentenced by Brown County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott T. Gusweiler.
Kim A. Gast, 58, of Ripley, Ohio, was indicted on Aug. 23 and was charged with fourth-degree assault and fifth-degree harassment with a bodily substance. Gast entered a guilty plea to the assault charge on Sept. 7.
After the guilty plea, Gusweiler sentenced Gast to 14 months confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections, to be served consecutively to a previous probation violation charge. Other charges listed in Gast’s indictment were dismissed.
A hearing was held for David A. Turner on Sept. 7, for a violation of community control sanction imposed that was previously imposed on him on June 26, of last year. Turner was convicted of one count of second-degree burglary last year, where he was sentenced to serve two years in prison and was granted judicial release shortly after.
During the Sept. 7, hearing, Turner waived hearing and admitted to the violations contained in the probation report. The court ordered that Turner should serve three years in the Ohio Department of corrections, with credit for the time already served.
Loren Jacob Osborn attended a hearing on Sept. 7, for a violation of community control sanction previously imposed on her on Sept. 20, 2017.
Osborn has been convicted of fourth-degree receiving stolen property, where she was placed on community control for two years. During the Sept. 7 hearing, Osborne waived hearing and admitted to the violations contained in the probation report.
The court ordered that Osborne should serve 17 months in the Ohio Department of Corrections, with credit for the time already served.
