FLEMINGSBURG – One person was arrested Saturday following a tip to the Fleming County Sheriff, officials said.
Fleming County deputies followed up on tips about drug trafficking at a residence.
According to officials, Deputies Justin Conley, Scott Johnson and David Caeser visited the residence and received permission to search the area. While searching the residence, the officers confiscated approximately 2.75 pounds of marijuana, a car, various pills, scales, bags, and a little over $1,900 cash, according to Conley.
“We’ve been receiving complaints and collecting tips from numerous people and this time we were able to act on it,” Conley said.
The search led to the arrest of an individual named Gerald Routt who was lodged in the Mason County Detention Center. Routt is charged with trafficking marijuana, third-degree trafficking of a controlled substance, first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance, and deliver/manufacture of drug paraphernalia. He has a cash bond set for $5,000 and his hearing will take place on Aug. 30.
