Tuesday, Aug. 14, is the final day for nonpartisan candidates to file for the November general election.
Many candidates are continuing to file in order to meet that deadline.
In Mason County, Melissa Simmons, incumbent, has filed for District 5 school board.
In Bracken County, John Laycock has filed for Augusta mayor and Todd Kelsch has filed for Augusta City Council.
Roger King, incumbent, has filed for Brooksville City Council.
For Bracken County School Board District 4, Gregory Jones, incumbent, has filed.
In Fleming County, Danny Carpenter has filed for Flemingsburg City Council.
For Fleming County School Board, Randy Tayler has filed for District 3 and Robbie Earlywine has filed for District 5.
In Ewing, Elzie Price and Priscilla Crump, both incumbents, have filed for city commissioner.
In Lewis County, Matt Ginn, incumbent, has filed for Vanceburg mayor.
For Vanceburg City Council, Karen Fraley, incumbent, Douglas Lodge and Glenn Bannister have filed.
Jerry Walker, incumbent, has filed for Concord mayor.
For Concord city commission, Carol Campbell and Sheila Walker, both incumbents, have filed.
Sarah Wills has filed for Lewis County School Board District 3.
For Soil and Water Conservation, William C. Bertram, Larry G. Hull and Gregg Webb have filed.
In Robertson County, Kevin Dodson, has filed for District 4 school board.

In Fleming County, Marty Voiers, incumbent, has filed for reelection as mayor of Flemingsburg.
For Flemingsburg City Council, Meredith Story, Georgina Sparks and Van David Alexander, all incumbents, along Blake Harmon, Duane Scott Manning, Randy Sergent and Angela Christman Graham have filed.
For Fleming County School Board, David Corbin has filed for District 3 and Michael Dale Emmons for District 5.
In Ewing, Robert Bevins, incumbent, filed for mayor.
In Bracken County, Tay Kelsch, Barry Bratton, Phillip Porter Habermehl and Michael Taylor have all filed for Augusta mayor.
Mary Habermehl Zeigler, John Yingling and Nathan Habermehl filed for Augusta City Council.
For Brooksville City Council, Tim Boyd and Tom Cortner, both incumbents, have filed.
For Bracken County School Board District 3, incumbent Andy Reynolds has filed.
In Lewis County, John Grabill and Dana Blankenship have filed for mayor of Vanceburg.
For Lewis County School Board, Cindy Applegate has filed for District 2 and Todd Sartin has filed for District 1.
In Robertson County, Stanley Henderson, incumbent, and Douglas Edward Wright have filed for mayor of Mount Olivet.
In order to register as a candidate, several requirements must be met, officials said.
The requirements for mayor include being at least 21 years old, being a resident of the city for no less than one year prior to election and residing in the city throughout the term. The requirements for city council/commission members include residing within the city for no less than one year prior to election and residing in the city throughout the term.
The deadline to file is Aug. 14. The general election is Nov. 6.
