The Maysville Police Department several individuals on two separate incidents Friday.
MPD Chief Ron Rice said the department was notified of a possible drug activity recently and through investigation, they were able to obtain a search warrant for a home on Fetter’s Lane in Maysville.
“Through good old fashioned police work, the officers obtained a search warrant for the home and executed the warrant morning.,” Rice said.
According to Rice, officers found 20 bindles of heroin, along with drug paraphernalia, all of which was confiscated.
“The street value of each heroin package is roughly $20,” Rice said. “Our officers were able to get several hundred dollars worth of drugs off the streets of Maysville.”
Rice said Emanuel Garcia-Ybarra, 29, and Natasha Garcia-Ybarra, 31, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals also had outstanding warrants.
They were lodged in the Mason County Detention Center, where they remained as of Friday.
Another individual, a cooperating witness in the case, was also arrested on outstanding warrants. The name of the person has not been released.
In an unrelated incident, police were called to the East End area of Maysville for a man who was allegedly attempting to trying to disrobe.
The MPD and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, according to Rice.
“He led police on a foot pursuit, but they were able to catch up to him at the corner of Wood Street and Brooks Street,” Rice said. “He seemed to be confused. It was discovered he had some outstanding warrants and he was also arrested.”
Rice did not release the individual’s name.
