FLEMINGSBURG — Two men were indicted on child abuse charges by a Fleming County grand jury.

Odis Lee Hall, 39, was indicted for one count of first-degree criminal abuse. According to the indictment, between April 1 and April 10, 2018, Hall allegedly intentionally abused a child under the age of 12 of whom he had custody.

Hall was also indicted for resisting arrest when, on or around April 14, 2018, Deputy Justin Conely went to arrest him. The charges could carry a sentence of up to 10 years, according to the indictment.

Jeffrey Owen Gulley, 40, was also indicted for one count of first-degree criminal abuse.

Other indictments handed down included:

— Martin Kendall, 42, custodial interference, for keeping from lawful custody a minor child, who was entrusted by authority of law to the custody of another person.

— Joshua B. White, 26, one count of careless driving of a motor vehicle, one count operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, failure to maintain required insurance, having no registration plates, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (alprazolam) and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (hallucinogenic mushrooms).

— Austin Kelly Paxton, 26, two counts of public intoxication, trafficking in marijuana, less than eight ounces, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (tramadol).

— Shane Thomas Jackson, 27, rear license plate not illuminated when he was operating a motor vehicle and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
