Some shakes are healthier than others, and of course it all depends on the ingredients you put into your blender. If chocolate and peanut butter are two of your favorite flavors, you don’t want to miss this healthy, protein-packed breakfast shake.

Chocolate and peanut butter are wonderful standalone ingredients, but when combined together, they make for an unforgettable treat that’s also nutritious.

This breakfast shake is called Royal because it has so many other ingredients that are healthy and delicious. Keep reading to find out how to whip this up yourself in your own kitchen. It’s great to have for breakfast, take on the go to school or the office, or just for lounging around the house.

Chocolate and peanut butter have their calories, but they aren’t empty calories like so many other shakes. Chocolate contains anti-oxidants and is actually good for you in moderation, especially dark chocolate, and if you can get it as close to natural or organic as you can. It can also aid in lowering blood pressure and decreasing inflammation, which may help prevent heart disease. It’s also a good mood-lifter.

Peanut butter is known for its protein, which boosts your energy level and brain power. Additionally, the potassium found in peanut butter is good for your heart.

This is the kind of health shake you need before going to work or taking on a stressful day of exams. It’s so full of nutrients you can have it as an entire meal, and you’ll feel full and satisfied for hours.

Another healthy ingredient found in this recipe is rolled oats. Rolled oats are as close to raw as possible, which gives you the full effect of the grain. Oats are a wonderful source of fiber. They also contain antioxidants, may help lower blood pressure and some forms of cancers, boost your immunity, and contain lots of vitamins and minerals to help your body function properly.

Bananas and skim milk are also called for this recipe. The milk gives you another level of protein, along with calcium and Vitamin D, and the banana is of course full of potassium, magnesium, and other nutrients.

You’ll also need a few blueberries to top it off when finished.
