Chestnutt to headline Hoedown


Hoedown in the Holler, a homegrown country music festival started in 2010, will return for the ninth renewal in 2018.

The event will be headlined on Sept. 29 by Mark Chesnutt. Chesnutt has 14 No. 1 hits, 23 top 10 singles, four platinum albums and five gold records. Hits include “Too Cold at Home,” “Goin’ Thru the Big D,” “Brother Jukebox,” “I Just Wanted You to Know,” “I’ll Think of Something,” “Bubba Shot the Jukebox” and many other chart-topping hits.

Bojangles’ is returning as the presenting sponsor of Hoedown in the Holler for 2018. B

Camp sites are available and are $70 for the weekend, including water and electric. Reservations for campsites are currently being accepted.

Tickets are on sale at and will be on sale soon in the local area. Tickets are $20 in advance for Friday; $25 after Sept. 22. Tickets are $25 in advance for Saturday; $30 after Sept. 22.

There will be food and beverage vendors on-site during the event. There will be a limited quantity of Hoedown in the Holler official merchandise for sale.
