Ron's week two college football picks
Wednesday, September 3, 2008 9:47 PM EDT Print this story | Email this story
The Southeastern Conference teams came out strong on the road, much to my chagrin. That is the reason they put erasers on pencils as everyone makes mistakes. Here we go with Week 2 picks.

Kentucky over Norfolk State -- Cats win their home opener as Tony Dixon has big game.

Western Kentucky over Eastern Kentucky -- Big rivalry game, but Hayden is too much for the Colonels.

Ohio State over Ohio -- Buckeyes roll minus Beanie Wells in tuneup for next week's game vs. Southern California.

Oklahoma over Cincinnati -- Sam Bradford is too much for the Bearcats.

Robert Morris over Morehead State -- Eagles lose on the road, but barely.

Notre Dame over San Diego State -- Clausen on target as Irish win opener.

South Carolina over Vanderbilt -- Gamecocks will win SEC opener in Music City.

Florida over Miami -- Tim Tebow and gang win. The U is a year away.

Georgetown College over McKendree -- The Tigers win their opener in a battle of top-25 teams in NAIA.

Louisville over Tennessee Tech --A must win for the Cardinals.

Alabama over Tulane -- Freshman Julio Jones is the real deal.

Texas Tech over Nevada -- Graham Harrell to Crabtree over and over.

Arizona State over Stanford -- Tough one to call, but it is being played at ASU.

Indiana over Murray State -- Kellen Lewis will have a big day in the air.

Wake Forest over Mississippi -- The Demon Deacons are the only ACC team playing well.

East Carolina over West Virginia -- Can the Pirates do it two weeks in a row? My upset of the week.

Auburn over Southern Mississippi -- Tony Franklins spread offense on display.

Kentucky Wesleyan over Kentucky Christian -- The Knights fought hard in their first game, but experience wins this one.

Brigham Young over Washington -- Cougars on the road, but they pack their offense for the trip.

Penn State over Oregon State -- Joe Paterno wins No. 374.

LAST WEEK: 16 right, four wrong.
